After seeing her two children grow from newlyborns to rough and tumble children, Susan Bishop felt her old creative instincts rise to the surface. Previously in publishing and advertising, she wanted her own business to be a creative one. Inspired by memories of her grandmother who had taught her so many traditional crafts and skills, she set out on the path which has led to Azique.

From the beginning she believed that Azique should provide people with something unique and special, that would be treasured. An Azique item would be made to the highest quality, using modern designs and styles woven together with traditional handmade quality and originality.

When Susan received a present that had her name on it, it seemed almost magical, and so Azique can now provide this thrill for children today.

From the beginning, Azique has continued to explore different avenues of styles, materials and designs, and now provides a kaleidoscopic variety of products but all with the distinctive look and feel of Azique.

The design involvement of Azique led to the birth of Fabric and Ribbon which gives people a chance to buy the same materials they see in Azique for their own projects and designs.
